Bob Sklar
As a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Bob provides support and practical feedback to help his clients effectively address their life issues. His highly personalized approach blends complementary methodologies and techniques with compassion and understanding, creating a therapy plan that is custom-tailored to each client. He holds a Masters of Counseling Degree from California State University, Fullerton and is a member of California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. He has served a broad spectrum of clients as a private practioner since 2002, with special expertise in such areas as relationships, sexual addiction, group counseling, and men's issues. Bob is a former Group Therapy instructor at Hope International University.
Bob has recently completed training in EMDR. He is also APSATS trained. Bob has been married for 36 years and has two married adult sons and two granddaughters. He is also a published songwriter and musician.
Sexual addiction is a persistent and escalating pattern or patterns of sexual behaviors acted out despite increasingly negative consequences to self or others. Recovery is possible and life has joyful potential. With recovery life is no longer depleting, but replenishing; not secret, but open; not isolating, but loving.
